Ship inspection – Darwin 14 March 2019
ms Amsterdam – Holland America Line’s 1,380 passenger ship – was on her 113-day Round World Cruise when I had the opportunity to do a ship inspection in Darwin.
She is a beautiful ship that offers some old-world charm and sophistication. While she may not have water slides and rock climbing walls – she certainly has plenty to keep you engaged and entertained on your cruise. Explorations Central is where you can get insights and tips from location experts, America’s Test Kitchen, BBC Earth Experiences, and BBC King’s Blues Club – to mention just a few.
Holland America Line offers a wide range of cabins and of particular value are their Lanai cabins. They don’t have a private balcony but open onto to the promenade deck where you have your reserved deck chairs waiting for you. And when your door is closed – you can’t see in the cabin. They are priced between Ocean View and Balcony Cabin.
Holland America has some great offers on most of their cruises at the moment with their Early Booking Bonus where you can receive a Signature Beverage package, Dinner at Pinnacle Grill, reduced fares for 3rd & 4th guests and 50% reduced deposit.
And if you want to catch a rare total solar eclipse and experience Antarctica – there is a unique 22-day South America & Antarctica voyage departing 27 November 2020 from San Antonio Chile to Buenos Aires.
